Hot to Trot Teach: Samantha Ardente

High school worker suspended after she's outed as a porn star

from www.torontosun.com - A high school clerical worker who moonlights as a porn star had her cover blown when a student asked her for an autograph after he recognized her from a blue movie.

Samantha ArdenteThe woman, known by the stage name Samantha Ardente, has been suspended without pay while Etchemins High School near Quebec City decides whether the star of Serial Abusers 2 will keep her day job.

“It’s a first in our history,” school board spokeswoman Louise Boisvert told QMI Agency.

“Even if she didn’t work directly with the students, we have to evaluate the impact that this story will have on her, on the students and on the staff.”

The administrative employee was recently confronted by a student who had seen one of her films. She refused his request for an autograph and told him to keep quiet about her double life. He instead told his friends and word eventually got back to the administration.

A teacher at the school says the news of the clerical worker's secret second job dropped like a bomb at the school of 1,400 students.

“What she did was inappropriate,” said the teacher, who refused to give his name. “But it’s not illegal, either. So we told the students that there’s no place for that (situation) here and we’ll see what happens next.”

The porn star will remain on suspension for two weeks while the school board decides her fate.

Meanwhile, the producer who hired Ardente told QMI Agency he had warned her about the potential risks to her reputation.

“She was very nervous,” said Nicolas Lafleur, owner of Pegas Productions. “She didn’t want to lose her job and I don’t think she told everyone, so it wasn’t easy for her.”

Lafleur has set up a Facebook page for Ardente where people have expressed their support.

from www.thestar.com - MONTREAL—By day, she was a youthful office assistant in a Quebec City-area high school. In her spare time, she was raunchy Samantha Ardente, cavorting in “Serial Abusers 2.”

Ardente — which is the clerical worker’s porn name — is now waiting to find out how much more free time is in store for her as authorities at the Navigateur school board determine if she deserves more than a suspension with pay for her extra-curricular activities.

Ardente was sent home after authorities learned one of the high school students had spotted her in the porn video.

She did not have contact with students in her job — but she is now quite the celebrity among them. Her video spread like wildfire as the teenagers forwarded each other the Internet links.

The website belonging to the company that produced her movie was deluged with traffic Thursday to the point that it was only allowing access to paying members.

It also directed viewers to her Facebook page where viewers were greeted by a picture of a slender, smiling brunette in her underwear, a racing-stripe style blond streak running through her hair.

Samantha ArdenteArdente, who listed her occupation as “porn actress” and her interests as “pornography and secretarial work,” got mixed reviews on the page although most of the comments were supportive.

Stephan Bedard took issue with Ardente’s defenders who insisted she was being penalized for something she did in her private life.

“Incidently, it’s not private,” Bedard wrote. “You got paid to do a dirty video knowing it would be distributed on the Internet and elsewhere. It’s public.

“If she had group sex with three people in her home and her neighbour filmed it . . . that’s private ... you shouldn’t confuse things!”

Others were more sympathetic, saying what Ardente did on her own time was her own business as long as it didn’t affect her work at the school.

“This proves that school personnel are underpaid,” wrote Cimon Charest-Deschenes.

Jennifer Stansfield, another supporter, praised Ardente’s stamina: “I admire people who have the energy to handle 2 jobs. More power to her! I’m still in the dark as to how it would hinder her ability to handle her day job?”

One poster took a more cynical view of the brouhaha.

“You deserve a degree in marketing,” wrote Jim Macey. “You sure know how to get publicity.”

Louise Boisvert, a spokeswoman for the school board, said a decision should be made on Ardente’s fate by next week.

While officials acknowledge Ardente hadn’t done anything illegal, the school board said her cinematic acitivities don’t correspond with the values being taught at the school.

The school is located in Levis, Que., across the St. Lawrence River from Quebec City.

Ardente has reportedly worked for the school commission since 2002 and at Les Etchemins school for the last two years.

from www.dailymail.co.uk - A school worker who moonlights as a porn star has had her secret double life exposed after a pupil at the Canadian school asked her for an autograph, having watched one of her illicit movies.

The woman, known by her performing name, Samantha Ardente, has been suspended without pay for two weeks from Etchemins High School near Quebec City while authorities decide her fate.

The star of Serial Abusers 2 refused the student’s request for an autograph and told him to keep her clandestine activities to himself.

Instead, the excitable youngster told his friends, with word eventually getting back to the administration, leading to the clerical assistant’s suspension.

School board spokeswoman Louise Boisvert said: ‘It’s a first in our history.

‘Even if she didn’t work directly with the students, we have to evaluate the impact that this story will have on her, on the students and on the staff.’

Nicolas Lafleur, owner of Pegas Productions, which makes the porn films Ardente has starred in condemned the reaction.

He said: ‘She was very nervous. She didn’t want to lose her job and I don’t think she told everyone, so it wasn’t easy for her.’

MONTREAL - Samantha Ardente, a Canadian high school secretary, is waiting to see if she gets to keep her day job after officials discovered that she moonlighted as a XXX porn star.

The Quebec City-area school board is now considering whether she deserves more than a suspension for cavorting in the movie "Serial Abusers 2" and other films.

The woman known as Ardente on screen was undone after a high school student spotted her in the porn video.

The student tried to get her autograph - and she tried to get him to keep her secret.

But, not surprisingly, her plea was rejected and the video spread like wildfire.

from www.babble.com - A clerical worker from a Quebec-area high school has been suspended for her involvement in adult films. The woman, whose stage name is Samantha Ardente, is a long-standing employee with the school commission, having worked for them since 2002. Ardente has been at her current post at Les Etchemins school for the past two years. Quiet years at that.

Until one of the high school students spotted her in a pornographic video, that is. At that point, things got a bit noisy. And thus beginneth the most recent incarnation of the should-people-involved-in-the-porn-industry-be-allowed-to-work-in-schools debate.

As implied in the last line, these stories, um, pop up from time to time. Last year, Carolyn wrote about Melissa Petro, a 30-year-old art teacher who went public with her past dealings in prostitution via an essay she wrote for the Huffington Post. Ultimately, Carolyn didn’t have a problem with Petro’s past, but did have a problem with the teacher’s willingness to flaunt that past in a public essay, especially one published on such a highly visible site.

Earlier this month, Meredith wrote about Tericka Dye, who, under the stage name of Rikki Andersin, had appeared in pornographic films some 15 years ago. And though she’s no longer active in the adult industry, Dye was placed on administrative leave by her school before eventually resigning from her post. And Meredith, for one, couldn’t understand why the woman was being penalized for “legal sins of her past.” And, to an extent, I can certainly understand why.

Enter Samantha Ardente, another school employee, but, unlike Dye and Petro, one whose job does not put her in direct contact with the students at the school. Yet, despite that fact, it looks as if her fate will mirror that of the other two. According to the Star: “While officials acknowledge Ardente hadn’t done anything illegal, the school board said her cinematic acitivities don’t correspond with the values being taught at the school.”

There are obviously two sides to this argument. That of the school’s and that of all the people who say: “Hey, what these people did in their past is their own business. As is however they currently choose to spend their time outside of work. As long as they didn’t do anything illegal, they should be allowed to keep their jobs.”

And I get that argument. And what’s more, part of me agrees with it. But, unfortunately, it’s not as simple as black-and-white Constitutional rights, if for no other reason that than what’s happened in the Ardente case:

“She is now quite the celebrity among [the students]. Her video spread like wildfire as the teenagers forwarded each other the Internet links.

“The website belonging to the company that produced her movie was deluged with traffic Thursday to the point that it was only allowing access to paying members.”

To me, the bottom line is this: once kids have learned about a school employee’s past as a prostitute, that school employee has officially become a distraction. And once kids learn about a school employee’s (past or current) participation in pornographic films, and, in turn, can go online and watch these films (as many did in Ardente’s case), that school employee has officially become an even bigger distraction.

And it seems to me that educating our youth is hard enough without willingly taking on scandalous distractions. And while “right” and “wrong” in these cases are as hard to define as they are to agree upon, one thing’s for certain. Any school facing such a situation is placed in a tricky spot, indeed.

from www.thestar.com - A teenager has been suspended from classes after revealing on a Facebook page that an office assistant at his Quebec City-area high school was moonlighting as porn star in her off-hours.

According to news reports, the 14-year-old alleged administrators at Etchemins Secondary School in Levis, Que., also threatened him with criminal charges.

School board spokesman Louise Boisvert confirmed the youth was suspended last Thursday and that administrators are to meet with him and family members Monday. But, she said, “the school never threatened expulsion or to press charges against him.”

The clerical worker, who goes by the porn-actress name of Samantha Ardente, was suspended with pay last week after authorities learned a student had spotted her in the porn video Serial Abusers 2.

The boy had asked her for an autograph. Ardente wouldn’t give him one and asked him to keep quiet about the matter. The boy then created a Facebook page in her name, complete with a racy photo of her in her undies.

As word of the Facebook page spread around school, Ardente went to her bosses and told them of the situation.

Boisvert, the board spokeswoman, said a decision should be made on Ardente’s fate by next week.

While officials acknowledge Ardente hadn’t done anything illegal, the board said her cinematic activities don’t correspond with the values being taught at the school, across the St. Lawrence River from Quebec City.

Ardente has worked for the school board since 2002 and at Les Etchemins school for the past two years.

The boy was reportedly asked to take the Facebook page down but said he couldn’t because he had created it under the Ardente pseudonym and now cannot access the administration.

from www.thestar.com -—A high school office assistant who moonlighted as a porn actress has been fired for her extracurricular activities.

The woman, whose porn moniker was Samantha Ardente, was suspended last month from the Quebec City-area high school after a student spotted her in a porn video on the Internet.

School board officials fired Ardente on Thursday after they were unable to reach agreement on her transfer to another job.

Board chairman Leopold Castonguay called Ardente’s actions “unacceptable.”

The school board says her cinematic activities don’t correspond with the values being taught at the school.

She says she will appeal the board’s decision to let her go.

Ardente told Montreal radio station 98.5 she offered to immediately stop her pornography career.

Ardente had been a school-board employee for nine years.

from www.torontosun.com - A Quebec-area teen who outed a school secretary who had moonlighted as a porn actress, allegedly wanted more than just an autograph to keep quiet.

The woman and her lawyer told broadcaster Charles Adler on his TV show airing on the Sun News Network Monday night that the student at one point asked her for oral sex.

In March, the clerical worker, who goes by the stage-name Samantha Ardente, lost her job after the 14-year-old told fellow students he had seen her in an adult movie called Serial Abusers 2.

Previously, it was reported the teen had asked her for an autograph after first approaching her at school and asking if she was the same actress.
When she told him to go away, he went off and created a Facebook page in her name, complete with photo of her in underwear.

Appearing on Adler’s show, on the first day of the Sun News Network’s airing, the woman — who says she gave up porn just before the controversy erupted — agreed that the teen tried to coerce her into a trade for sex.

Her lawyer, Franco Schiro, told Adler that his client became alarmed after the teen asked her about her young daughter.

Schiro says during an online exchange, during which his client was trying to find out what the boy knew about her pre-teen daughter, the male student: “Basically asked her for oral sex in order to stop what was going to be happening to the daughter of my client.”

Ardente told Adler she tried to launch a police investigation, but was told by cops in Quebec that it wasn’t a criminal matter.

The former actress is now launching unspecified legal action after losing her job.

School Secretary Outed as Porn Star Capitalizing on Newfound Fame: Magazine Layout, Web Site, Adult Products

from www.dailymail.co.uk - A porn star school secretary who promised to give up her seedy secret double life has stripped off again after being sacked from her day job.

Julie Gagnon, who goes by the stage name Samantha Ardente, made headlines around the world after being outed by a 14-year-old pupil from her school who recognised her in a porn film.

The young mother was finally sacked from her job at Etchemins High School near Quebec City last week after news of her starring role in the film Serial Abusers 2 reached school management.

Miss Gagnon, who has starred in five adult movies, had agreed to stop making them in a desperate bid to keep her job, but the school board claimed her film career 'was not compatible' with her position.

Despite being hopeful of regaining her school job after launching legal action against her sacking, Miss Gagnon has bared all in a five-page spread in the erotic magazine Summum.

In the May edition of the French-language lads' mag, the former secretary disrobes in a series of provocative poses and explains how she imposed ‘no restrictions’ in her film scenes.

She describes how she entertained three men at the same time and tells the publication she would have continued to make porn films had her secret life not be discovered.

She said: ‘You'll think I’m naive, but yes I sincerely believed that nobody would make the connection between Julie and Samantha.

‘I just wanted to do turn a few (porn films), just enough to replenish my bank account’.

Miss Gagnon now plans to launch a range of sex products under the ‘Samantha’ brand name.

She claims most of the movies were filmed in ‘chalets and hotel suites’ and she didn’t meet her film partners ‘until arriving on set’.

The magazine’s editor claims Miss Gagnon had originally rebuffed offers to strip off but changed her mind soon after finding herself out of work, and even provided her own private photos.

Editor Alain Rochette told QMI agency: ‘She said yes immediately.'
Miss Gagnon, who continues to fight her sacking, claims the young pupil who discovered her secret second life demanded sex in return for keeping quiet.

The Canadian boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was suspended from school in March for creating a fake Facebook page in her name with a racy profile picture of Miss Gagnon in her underwear, after she allegedly refused the boy's request for an autograph.

But the secretary claimed this week that the boy - whose mother is a teacher - asked her to perform a sex act on him in a trade for his silence.
Miss Gagnon’s lawyer, Franco Schiro, claims his client became alarmed when the pupil inquired about her young daughter.

According to Mr Schiro, in an online conversation the pupil 'basically asked her for oral sex in order to stop what was going to be happening to the daughter of my client'.

Miss Gagnon said she tried to start a police investigation, but was told by officers it wasn’t a criminal matter.

The owner of Pegas Productions, which makes the porn films Miss Gagnon has starred in, has condemned her sacking.

Nicolas Lafleur said: ‘She (Miss Gagnon) was very nervous. She didn’t want to lose her job and I don’t think she told everyone, so it wasn’t easy for her.'

Mr Lafleur's website had so much traffic in March it had to restrict access to paying members and he was concerned about students from the school getting into the site.

The Des Navigateurs School Board in Quebec claimed last week they were left with little choice but to sack Miss Gagnon.

Board chairman Leopold Castonguay said: ‘We believe the actions that led to this incident are inappropriate, unacceptable and incompatible with not only our mission but also with the values we wish to convey to our young students.'

Etchemins High School has 1,400 students. Miss Gagnon worked at the school for the past two years.
